ROBERTS, Lewis - Putnam

Rev. Lewis Roberts, one of the pioneer ministers of the Methodist Church, died in Peru of general debility on May 21 in the 85th year of his life. Deceased had been an active minister until 1879 when he was superannuated.  He was a former resident of this city and will be remembered by our older citizens.  – kbz
